Flock
This post should be coming via the Flock web browser. This is a new web browser that tries to integrate common functions in a nice way. An example is posting to this blog, or using deli.cio.us for bookmarks.
I’ve read a lot of complaints saying that Firefox can already do most of this stuff with extensions and Flock should give up. Flock say that they want to offer the whole thing as an integrated, seamless experience.
I’d have to say I side with Flock.
There seem to be remarkably few people who understand just how much difference the user experience of something can make. They still don’t understand why the iPod is vastly outselling products with “many more features”.
Ease of use, fun of use. It really counts.
I can’t say if Flock is any good yet, it’s unfinished and I haven’t used it much yet, but the premise seems like a good one to me.
Update: Well, it filtered out the HTML I used for the link. I guess there’s another way to do it. But the post otherwise seems to have worked. I can see myself using this.

I have been using Flock on a daily basis ever since it came out. At first I couldn’t compose LiveJournal’s posts from Flock. After the first upgrade, this was possible. However, I can’t make Flock take my HTML codes the same way LJ does. In view of this problem, I continue to post form Firefox.
I still don’t like to have my personal Bookmarks in Del-cio-us. I want them well organized in Folders and in alphabetic orders. This is something I love about Firefox.
What is real cool about Flock is its speed. It’s the fastest browser around. For surfing the web, this is what I use. I understand Firefox 1.5 will be faster, similar to Flock. I just can’t wait.
Just my two cents.
Cheers,
Omar.-

I haven’t quite figured out the whole deli.cio.us thing yet, although I’ll give it a try and see how it works.
I’m a bit uncomfortable with the idea of public bookmarks - most of my links would be useful for other people to see, but there are some I don’t really want others messing with - especially links to intranet sites or applications that I’m currently developing.
You’re right, Flock does seem fast.
